My Tree Guys, LLC was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2023 by Mark Ahlijanian. We are driven by our passion for professionalism, customer service and excellence in arboriculture. Even as our company grows from just one Guy and some climbing gear, we still strive to be your friendly, neighborhood arborists!
Meet Our Team

Founder & CEOMark Ahlijanian has been working with trees in beautiful settings for over a decade. His work has covered a wide variety of tree removal, management, and care — from building natural bridging from trees to removing invasive species in Southern Utah.
His work with trees began in 2013 at Adirondack State Park in upstate New York. From there, he moved onto Willowsford Conservancy, a 2,000 acre natural conservancy in Ashburn, Virginia. After moving to Salt Lake City in early 2020, he began working full-time for leading crews at a local tree-care company.
Mark transitioned to municipal arboriculture when he took a foreman position for the Urban Forestry department of Salt Lake City Public Lands. It was there that he got to dig deeper into the industry, achieving his ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, his ISA Municipal Specialist certification, and his ISA Tree Climber Certification.
He left his job at the City in April 2023, to found and operate My Tree Guys full-time (and he hasn't looked back since!).
When he's not in a tree, you may find him hiking, backpacking, playing softball, or going to comedy shows and concerts with friends. No matter where he is, he is more than likely looking up at the trees!

Lead Foreman
Joe is an avid outdoor adventurer and devilishly good looking arborist (his words). He spent over 5 years in the outdoor education and medical field in Wyoming and Maine before finding his niche in the tree industry. He's worked throughout the country for various municipalities urban forestry divisions and tree care companies including 3 years working for Salt Lake City's Urban Forestry department where he received his ISA Certification in 2021. He continues to hone his skills as a climbing arborist and is the Lead Foreman for My Tree Guys.

Will grew up in the Kingdom of Tonga which is located in the South Pacific Islands. He started his career as a groundsman in 2020 for a tree service in the Bay Area of Northern California. Fascinated with tree climbers’ bravery, and articulate skills, he began training to be a tree climber in less than 3 months of starting in the tree industry. He became a lead-foreman shortly after learning how to climb trees.
After moving to Utah in early September 2024, he joined My Tree Guys as a climber to expand his knowledge and skills in tree care and tree climbing. He is now training to be an arborist to deepen his understanding of trees and the science behind each unique tree species. In his free time, he likes to play video games, work on cars(especially JDMs), coach football/rugby and hiking.

Nick is a Utah native who has been working in the tree care industry for 9 years. He has spent time doing Plant Health Care as well as supporting multiple pruning and removal crews in the Salt Lake area. He loves to travel across the US to learn about different plant species and enjoys teaching and learning primitive survival skills. He spends the bulk of his time enjoying quality time with his family.
